These peanut butter strawberries are a fun twist on chocolate strawberries, made for people who can’t get enough of peanut buttery goodness combined with the refreshing and delicious taste of fresh strawberries.
You’ve probably heard a lot about chocolate strawberries, but as I was eating this healthy peanut butter by the spoonful the other day, I got curious.
What would happen if instead we made peanut butter dipped strawberries?
Is it possible?
Does it taste good?
The answer to both of those questions is yes: peanut butter strawberries are a new firm favorite around our house and they are so insanely easy, I wonder why the world hasn’t caught on sooner.
Make these for your favorite peanut butter lover, or use it as an option when making a batch of chocolate strawberries – the more flavors, the merrier!

Ingredients
The ingredients for strawberries with peanut butter are pretty self-explanatory, but just in case, here you go:
- strawberries – whole ones, freshly washed and patted dry (frozen won’t work)
- peanut butter – smooth, not crunchy for that amazingly smooth finish (I love this healthy brand)
How to Make Peanut Butter Strawberries
Wash and dry all of your strawberries so you don’t get any weird bugs or add-ons into your creations.
Put a piece of parchment paper (I like this brand) on a baking tray or plate to lay the final strawberries on.
Melt the peanut butter in a small bowl for about 30 seconds in the microwave. You don’t want it to be extremely runny, but soft enough to be dipped into.
Hold the strawberry by the stem and dip it into the peanut butter, twirling it around until it’s coated.
Lay the strawberry on the parchment paper and repeat.
Sprinkle any add-ons like these chocolate sprinkles onto your strawberries or drizzles of chocolate.
Let dry at room temperature for about 2 hours.
Enjoy!
Do You Have to Melt the Peanut Butter?
Melting the peanut butter is a must-do, because that’s what lets us dip the strawberries in the peanut butter rather than just smothering it on with a knife.
I mean, you absolutely can just smother it on if you want, but you’ll find that the outcome isn’t as beautiful as if you just take 30 seconds to melt some peanut butter.
You do not need to melt the peanut butter loads, just enough to soften it.
What to Serve with Peanut Butter Strawberries
These are a wonderful dessert option or party platter favor.
You can also serve chocolate covered strawberries together, or enjoy a few of these in the morning with these strawberry overnight oats (who says you can’t have strawberries and peanut butter in the morning?!)
Ideas for Decorating
You can get as creative as you want with the decorating.
I used some basic chocolate sprinkles, but you could use colorful sprinkles, M&Ms, drizzle some chocolate sauce.
Because you melted the peanut butter slightly, things will stick to the coating that you sprinkle on as long as they’re not too heavy like these giant marshmallows, so get creative with some chopped up nuts, sprinkles, chocolate chips, etc.
How to Store Peanut Butter Strawberries
You can store these at room temperature for about a day, but given that you’re still working with strawberries, it’s best to keep them stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes
1. You can use any toppings you want like chocolate sprinkles, M & Ms or nuts, or you can leave them completely plain with just peanut butter.
2. If you don't have a way of melting the peanut butter, you can still enjoy the strawberries with peanut butters by spreading some on with a knife, but it won't have the same dipped effect.
